December Intentions

December 2012 – Intentions

Every month, I set intentions, which coincide with my goals for the year. Now it may be a play on semantics, but somehow, setting intentions and not meeting them is not as bad as setting goals and not completing them (at least in my mind).

Next week, I will be looking over my goals from the beginning of the year to see what I did manage to complete, but if it’s anything like this month…well…I can say I tried. :) and I will be fine with that.

This week will be the first week in December that I will actually be able to finally get around to my intentions for this month.

One personal goal, I’ve set for myself is not to “beat myself” up for not completing something, and that’s in full effect today.

What do you do when you haven’t completed or done something that you really thought was important?

How do you get over it? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

  1. Eat ice cream!!! LOL! I try to remember that I am human, consider my accomplishments, pick myself up and start over. I try to be very gracious with myself, but it isn't easy. I admire your discipline and appreciate your beautiful influence.

  3. Honestly if I let it , it will get the better of me and I will be found somewhere in a corner pulling my bottom lip! It's so overwhelming at time. Deadlines and more deadlines and everyone wanting it now and me walking around feeling like a heel. I have learned that I have to tell folks the truth and not what they want to hear. I am one person and apparently in demand. I am a human being with sticky but and breathe. I have a wonderful hubby and a daughter and a family that needs my attention and while I work from home doing what I love, I also have responsibilities to my God, Myself and family. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is artwork. It's done when it says it's done. Okay now I have vented. Thank you for letting me be myself again. And this is why I love you so much! Thank so much for being such an encouragement to during this year. Thanks for you kind words and laughter and many, many beautiful pieces of artwork and photos. They have been an inspiration to me. I wish you the sweetest Christmas and Happiest New Year!

  4. I love those colors. They just glow like neon :) I usually don't beat myself up too bad for not meeting an intention because if something else got in the way, then I figure that's just the way it was intended to be. But then, I make kind of vague intentions in the first place to avoid possible disappointments, and don't set deadlines. Other people set enough deadlines for us. Merry Christmas!
