Today, I just wanted to reach out to some of the talented illustrators, that I know. We visit one another, spend time in each other’s colorful blog world and reach out to one another with thoughtfulness, warmth and downright gut wrenching laughter!
When Linda Hensley, sent me this, I thought it was a good time to do something fun and show my appreciation of these artists.
First, I want to thank Linda Hensley, for giving me this award. Linda writes and blogs over at: http://lindahensley.blogspot.com. She’s a thoughtful and informative writer and an amazing illustrator. Linda adds value to the blog world! So this wonderful artist has given me an award! Yeah, thank you, Linda!
There were some rules for picking up the award, why, Linda, why? Rules…ugh! :)
The rules for receiving the award:
- Thank the person who gave you the award.
- Write a post about it.
- Answer the questions below.
- Pass it on to 10 bloggers who you think really deserve it and send them a message to let them know.
So here’s some miscellaneous stuff you didn’t want to know about me! :)
Q & A:
01. My favorite color: Orange & Turquoise – never could choose between them!
02. My favorite animal: I should say my daughter’s cat, Oscar, but we have a love/hate relationship! So I have to say my German Shepard, Keisha, who has gone to doggy heaven!
03. My favorite number: 3
04. My favorite non-alcoholic drink? Limeade
05. I’m a member of Facebook and Twitter
06. My passion: I’m not sure there’s enough time to list them all! I’m fanatical about My family, Women and Children Issues/Advocacy; The Elderly, The Environment, and Art, which is not last or least!
07. Getting or giving presents? I love both equally!
08. My favorite pattern? I don’t have a favorite.
09. My favorite day of the week? Friday.
10. My favorite flower? Sunflowers, because when I see them the make me smile, no, matter the mood, there’s something about their brown faces and bright yellow/gold flower hair, that brings out the best in me.
10 Favorite Bloggers:
I hate choosing just 10, because I love so many, but here goes this time around:
1) Vanessa Brantley Newton – http://oohlaladesignstudio.blogspot.com. Her joy and enthusiasm, and pure madness always keeps me laughing!
2) Valerie Walsh - http://www.valgalart.com/blog. Valerie thoughtfulness and beautiful aesthetic always gives me food for thought.

4) Jack Foster - http://jacktoon.blogspot.com. Jack’s expressive illustrations are always fun, warm and so easy to relate to.
5) Josh Pincus -http://blog.marshotelonline.com. He is always over the top, and his posts has me laughing out loud with memories and amazed at his knowledge and research!
6) Paula Kuitenbrouwer – http://mindfuldrawing.com - Paula’s posts are always calming and meditative with a smile factor, proving life is in the moment.
7) Ellen Byrne – http://ellenbyrne.blogspot.com. Her blog always has a nostalgic feel and sparkles with her personality.
8) Laurel Gaylord – http://www.studiololo.blogspot.com. Who for the longest time, I only knew her by “Lolo”. She’s an amazing talent with several wonderful blogs!!!

Last, but never least:
10) Sharon Wagner -http://sharonrwagner.blogspot.com. Sharon’s color and designs always jumps off the page, in a fun and whimsical manner.
Sharon has given me a beautiful award, which I want to acknowledge here, also so that you can see her beautiful style and of course to end this blog post in vivid color as well. Thank you Sharon!

Bella Sinclair Award – This award is a token of inspiration for other artists out there to continue sharing their wonderful talent because there are people out there who truly cares.
Yoon See is an incredibly thoughtful and sweet artist, and her work is shines with her personality, brilliance and fun. She has so many different and wonderful styles!
******
I received the Bella Sinclair Award on the left from Cheryl Lynn, a phenomenal woman woman who’s loving spirit snatches you right up from the start! So Cheryl, my dear, thank you, thank you!
The award was created by Ces ,for Bella Sinclair who is a wonderful artist whose husband passed away June, 2009. Ces is an artist who’s work makes you drool over a pen!
Cheryl Lynn graciously passed this award on to me, which she received from Vanessa Brantley Newton, who’s love and humor, brings me to my knees with laughter often! :) Vanessa gave this award to me also!
I was looking through my comment section this week and realized I also received this award from Art Fan Ako who just joined the world of the art blogsphere in May, 2009 and taking it by storm, I might add!
Finally, but never least I received the award on the right from Bella Sinclair in October, 2008, and for some reason, I missed it! While scrolling through Bella’s blog, because I missed her lovely spirit, I saw that Bella gave me the award last year and that award was created and given to Bella by Yoon See!
I love being an artist! (Yes, it’s because I’m “OCD” and there wasn’t anything else I could do to enjoy life) :) But, more importantly it has drawn me in a circle of artist bloggers, who are creative geniuses with monstrous talent, and I’m just happy visiting their blog!
So, in keeping with this sharing and caring lovefest, I pass these awards along to folks that are in my chain of caring:
Adrienne Trafford’s Blog
Kathy Hare Illustration
Nancy Lefko’s Beautiful Collage Art
Roberta Baird’s A Mouse in the House
Studio Lolo
ValGal Art: Illustration
Bjornik’s Pen/Ink
Teri’s Painted Daisies
If you’ve made in this far in reading this chain of care, please by all means you sincerely should add your name to the list! Peace to you all.

Thank you Ces (http://cesandherdishes.blogspot.com), you are so kind…this means so much to me! I sincerely appreciate any and every award I get! It makes my day, year and life! Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
I think, I’m suppose to name (7) things I love and pass an award on. So here are my seven:
1) My Family (I guess Oscar, our cat’s included, although at 3:00AM, most mornings, there’s not a lot of love for him!)
2) My Friends (they are there through thick and thin, I’m in a thick stage right now…lol!)
3) Art (This is really number one, but I felt guilty, so I put the others first, hmmm…I guess they know now!)
4) Observing life (when it’s not slamming me!)
5) Reading
6) Nature
7) My personal relationship with God (Well, this was first, then art, then all the others, but I’m a slow thinker!)
I pass these creative awards along to these wonderful bloggers: (they keep me going! :)

Both awards were given to me by Nancy (http://nancygronholm.blogspot.com). Thank you, Nancy for your kind thoughts and sentiment. It is a lovely way to end my year!
“This award is given to a blog that invests and believes in PROXIMITY – nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated.”
