It is an unbalanced, much like a walk on a tightrope, that I’m finding hard to bear. I pray for all of you who cope with this and know that hope springs eternal. Peace. Bella Sinclair Award – This award is a token of inspiration for other artists out there to continue sharing their wonderful talent because there are people out there who truly cares. Yoon See is an incredibly thoughtful and sweet artist, and her work is shines with her personality, brilliance and fun. She has so many different and wonderful styles! ****** I received the Bella Sinclair Award on the left from Cheryl Lynn, a phenomenal woman woman who’s loving spirit snatches you right up from the start! So Cheryl, my dear, thank you, thank you! The award was created by Ces ,for Bella Sinclair who is a wonderful artist whose husband passed away June, 2009. Ces is an artist who’s work makes you drool over a pen! Cheryl Lynn graciously passed this award on to me, which she received from Vanessa Brantley Newton, who’s love and humor, brings me to my knees with laughter often! :) Vanessa gave this award to me also! I was looking through my comment section this week and realized I also received this award from Art Fan Ako who just joined the world of the art blogsphere in May, 2009 and taking it by storm, I might add! Finally, but never least I received the award on the right from Bella Sinclair in October, 2008, and for some reason, I missed it! While scrolling through Bella’s blog, because I missed her lovely spirit, I saw that Bella gave me the award last year and that award was created and given to Bella by Yoon See! I love being an artist! (Yes, it’s because I’m “OCD” and there wasn’t anything else I could do to enjoy life) :) But, more importantly it has drawn me in a circle of artist bloggers, who are creative geniuses with monstrous talent, and I’m just happy visiting their blog! So, in keeping with this sharing and caring lovefest, I pass these awards along to folks that are in my chain of caring: Nancy Lefko’s Beautiful Collage Art Roberta Baird’s A Mouse in the House If you’ve made in this far in reading this chain of care, please by all means you sincerely should add your name to the list! Shaky – IFSunday, July 5th, 2009
Shaky = tending to shake or tremble; liable to break down or give way. Two weeks in a row, the IF prompt has hit home! Ahhh…the irony, of it all. Right now, with limited time and very blocked artistic ability, I thought of the epitome of shakiness… blocks. The precariousness of them, much like life! The joy of playing with blocks and the scariness of them falling over. Child’s play is often a metaphor for life. This week, let’s play, because life is shaky enough. Peace. When I was a new Mom, I often wondered who’s craving was bigger? Mine to give milk or my babies to receive. I think it was a mutuality that turned to love. I don’t know if Bella, knows how much this means to me. I have a sister named Renee, who is fighting the “good, hard” fight against breast cancer. This award means so much to me because my sister is very much an acorn, (she’s always been, 4’11 and less than 100 lbs); All the beautiful things that Bella wrote reminds me of my little sister, Renee and her tough little acorn spirit! So for this I thank you Bella, and to you my dear little sister Renee, you are this award, before, now and forever! I pass this to my Renee! Thanks again, Bella, you have touched and nourished my heart, so much with this! Sharing An Experience – The Pendle Hill Closing Art Exhibit Reception – March 6, 2009Saturday, March 21st, 2009
I get so nervous at my own exhibits! As an introvert, it just about makes me quake in my boots! There were so many wonderful people gathered there, who asked thoughtful questions, ate good food, shared their opinions, enjoyed themselves, bought art and other collectibles! It was a successful night in every sense of the word! It was such a soulful experience to be surrounded by family, friends, patrons, collectors and new acquaintances! Thank you all for an amazing experience. I’ve posted these pix for all the folks who wanted to come but could not, I wanted to share some of the ambiance of the evening. Enjoy!
