CANNED – IF
I thought of so many variations on this prompt and decided to go with my first thought; which is my version of "can".I thought of can-can dancer, but I wanted them to be elegant, so here's my concept...cans as ballet dancers. The words that's playing in my mind are from the song by the Pointer Sisters..."I know you can make it, I know that you can. I know darn well, if you can, can, if you can"!So here's to can make it, every day, in every way!Happy Weekend! ... Continue Reading »

Foggy – IF
Fog always inspire mystery to me, so this image was the first one I thought of to illustrate foggy.I created this piece two months ago. It was inspired by a foggy mist that covered the moon one night from my deck and the howling dog two houses away from me! It reminded me of a wolf howling at a foggy moon. I portrayed the moon as an old woman, since she's been around for centuries!May your all your fog be lifted and beautiful light guides your way! Peace. ... Continue Reading »
Punchline – IF
What's funny to me is that fact that I don't get the punchline of most jokes. I'm that person that has a puzzled look on her face after a joke has been told. It has to be explain to me and of course, that annoys the jokester!I think it's because when I was younger I was really shy and sensitive. I found that most jokes are at the expense of others and that was offensive to me and I would become extremely upset. I have grown some, but I usually still don't get jokes.Anyhow, my loving husband told my daughter this joke when she was (10) years old, much to my dismay. She still thinks it's funny at (13) and loves to tell it to new friends. So ... Continue Reading »
Forgotten – Baby – IF
I live in the richest country in the world, so when I travel, I always take the road less travelled and it brings me close to the pulse of any city or town I visit in the world. When I originally saw this child, I thought he was a "forgotten baby". This little one was having a bath in a wooden pail in the alley way of his makeshift house. He could barely fit in the pail and he was quite dirty. There was no door on his home and he was just sitting in the pail, soaking. I heard people laughing and talking from inside his home. I sat next to a pile of trash across from his home and sketched him. The image was hastily done with colors added on ... Continue Reading »
Worry – IF
There are so many things to worry about nowadays.I miss the days of just worrying about getting my allowance because I didn't clean my room, worrying about whether Kevin Thomas liked me as much as I liked him or worrying whether my extremely curly hair would frizz up in the humidity! The days of being a teenager. My worries are much greater today and they seemed to be centered around others. My children, my parents, my extended family, my friends, my environment...who's going to be the next President of the USA! Yeah, in our days in time we do need to worry about who's going to be President. The worries of someone opening the door to being ... Continue Reading »
