This painting was created in the Fall as a prototype for the Winter Series and an experimentation in an earth tone palette.
This piece is based on the Theodore Roosevelt quote in the piece: “Believe you can and you’re half way there.” It is purely from my artistic point of view of being insecure with working with a more subdued palette and whether or not I could do it. This quote was in front of me and it was my singular focus to keep trying; to work within this frame of new colors for me.
