A “creative block” is the inability to access one’s flowing stream of inspiration and creativity. What was once an overflowing well of ideas may now feel like an endless drought. It can last for days, months, or even years at a time. I call this piece “Charmed World” for it was the 4th piece created in the Creative Block Series. It would be lovely to live in our own version of a charmed world.
My creative blocks allowed for small little bits of time where I felt creative. This is what came out of those bouts of creativity during my blocked time! For anyone who has experience the loss of inspiration or creativity, remember to show up and creativity will crack through!
This is a mixed media piece, on a 4″ x 4″ wood block. The wood block is layered with handmade and vintage papers, acrylic paint and distress ink, (piece is varnished for protection, signed and dated on the back.)
